Cross-domain tracking
Keep track of customers who move between sites
When the journey crosses domains, to a booking system, a regional store or a third-party checkout, tracking usually breaks at the hand-off. Sales get credited to the wrong source, or vanish entirely.

Problems we fix
Sales credited to "referral"
Your own checkout appearing as the source of every order.
Sessions that restart
Visitors counted twice as they move between domains.
Third-party checkouts
Platforms you can't add tags to, taking the sale out of sight.
Regional domains
Separate .co.uk, .ie or .com.au sites splitting one journey into several.
Lost ad click IDs
Ad platforms losing the click before the sale completes.
Affiliate tracking gaps
Networks unable to credit sales that finish on another site.
What the work involves
- GA4 cross-domain configuration and referral exclusions
- Click IDs and identifiers passed across domains
- Server-to-server transaction feeds from third-party checkouts
- Affiliate network tracking across domains
- One server container serving several domains
How it's priced
Most jobs are estimated in hours before we start. Small fixes are billed in 30-minute increments.
Everything is billed at the same £75 hourly rate, cheaper in blocks. No retainer, no contract, and everything is built in your own accounts. See pricing.
Who you'll actually work with
Done by a specialist, not passed to a junior
You deal with the same senior specialist every time, whether that's a 30-minute fix or ten hours a month of support. That's the point of working this way: the experience, without paying for the layers around it.
- 15+ years in Google Ads, Merchant Center and analytics
- GA4, GTM, server-side tagging and conversion APIs
- White-label tracking work for agencies, plus direct clients
Cross-domain tracking questions
What if we can't add tags to the checkout?
The checkout provider can often send each transaction server to server instead. We specify what they need to send and receive it in a server container.
Does cross-domain work with consent?
Yes, provided consent is handled consistently on every domain. We check that as part of the setup.
Can you help with affiliate tracking?
Yes, including networks that need sales credited when the order completes on another domain.
