GA4

GA4 that tells you what's actually happening

Most GA4 properties were set up quickly during the switch from Universal Analytics and never revisited. We make sure yours records the right things, once, in a way you can report on.

Problems we fix

Key events that aren't key

Page views and scrolls marked as conversions, inflating results and confusing ad platforms.

Unassigned and direct traffic

Lost campaign tags, self-referrals and consent gaps hiding where visitors came from.

Ecommerce that doesn't match

Revenue and orders in GA4 that never line up with your shop platform.

Duplicate events

The same event sent twice from hard-coded tags and GTM.

Missing filters and settings

Internal traffic, data retention and cross-domain settings left at the defaults.

Reports nobody uses

Standard reports that don't answer the questions the business actually asks.

What the work involves

  • GA4 audits against what the business needs to measure
  • Event and key event design, documented
  • Ecommerce tracking that reconciles with your platform
  • Cross-domain and subdomain configuration
  • Explorations and custom reports for the questions you ask

How it's priced

Most jobs are estimated in hours before we start. Small fixes are billed in 30-minute increments.

Everything is billed at the same £75 hourly rate, cheaper in blocks. No retainer, no contract, and everything is built in your own accounts. See pricing.

Done by a specialist, not passed to a junior

You deal with the same senior specialist every time, whether that's a 30-minute fix or ten hours a month of support. That's the point of working this way: the experience, without paying for the layers around it.

  • 15+ years in Google Ads, Merchant Center and analytics
  • GA4, GTM, server-side tagging and conversion APIs
  • White-label tracking work for agencies, plus direct clients

GA4 questions

Why don't GA4 and my ad platforms agree?

They count differently: attribution models, time zones, consent and cross-device journeys all differ. Some gap is normal; a large or growing one usually means something is broken.

Should GA4 conversions be imported into Google Ads?

Often the Google Ads tag with enhanced conversions is the better source for bidding, with GA4 used for analysis. We'll set up whichever suits your setup and make sure they don't double count.

Can you fix GA4 without a developer?

Usually, through Google Tag Manager. Ecommerce data sometimes needs a developer to add it to the page; we write the specification and test it.
